China Sunergy supplies Bulgarian PV plant with 5MW of modules

[17/05/2012] China Sunergy has announced that it has supplied the Bulgarian Yerussalimovo solar park with 5MW of VP modules. In total, China Sunergy has shipped 22.32MW of panels to Bulgaria since the beginning of 2012, exceeding the companys 18MW shipments to Bulgaria in 2011. Konarka and Dri-Design present integrated solar panel

[17/05/2012] Konarka Technologies and Dri-Design have announced the results of their collaboration to integrate Konarkas solar panels into Dri-Designs metal rainscreen panels. It is the first application of its kind and the panels are used for façade installations. MEMC announces Brian Wuebbels as new CFO

[17/05/2012] MEMC Electronic Materials has appointed Brian Wuebbels as its new CFO, the company announced. He succeeds Mark Murphy, who resigned, effective May 16th, 2012, in order to take up the role as president at Praxair Surface Technologies. Bobby Grisham named to Premier Holdings board of directors

[16/05/2012] Former EDS Chief Global Sales Officer, Bobby Grisham, has been selected as the newest member of Premier Holdings board of directors. He will be working, along with fellow members and executive management, to meet the companys strategic global initiatives. CNPV Solar Power co-operates with CGN-SEDC and the Lijin Peoples government to develop 2.5GW

[16/05/2012] CNPV Solar Power has announced collaboration between itself, the China Guangdong Nuclear Solar Energy Development Company (CGN-SEDC) and the Lijin Peoples government. Conergys outlook for 2012 is cautiously positive

[16/05/2012] Conergy has published figures for Q1 2012, highlighting the first results of the restructuring process implemented in 2011. The sales development reflects the decrease in prices in the first quarter by 40% compared to 2011. Sales in Q1 2012 were 98 million compared to 163 million in the same period in 2011. Although the German, Asian and American markets increased, shipment volumes in Europe generally decreased, resulting in a decline in shipments from 80MW to 70MW. Conergy managed to increase shipments in the American and Asian markets by 2% sales achieved were 34 million (42 million, Q1 2011). The company was able to balance the decline in demand in Germany by taking advantage of the temporary boom in the market and receive sales of 29 million compared to 34 million in Q1 2011. Conergys outlook for 2012 is cautiously positive - read more

Day4 Energy publishes results for Q1 2012

[16/05/2012] Day4 Energy has published its operating results for Q1 2012. Revenues decreased to US$6.5 million compared to UD$16 million in Q1 2011 (59%) and by US$1.8 million (22%) from Q4 2011. Gross loss for Q1 2012 constituted US$0.7 million compared to US$2.7 million in Q1 2011 and UD$1.4 million in Q4 2011. ET Solar completes 9.6MW of PV plants in Germany

[16/05/2012] ET Solar has announced that it has finished the comstruction of two ground mounted PV plants in Germany, 4MW and 5.6MW in size. The plants are located in Oberböblingen near Leipzig and and Rätzlingen near Hamburg. German government offers 30 million as compromise to drastic FiT cuts

[16/05/2012] Last week, two-thirds of the German states in the Budesrat voted against the draft EEG bill. It has now been passed to the Mediation Committee, which has three sessions in which to be able to reach a decision. Katherina Reiche, secretary of the Federal Environment Ministry has offered 30 million of federal funds for PV research and development as an incentive to the Committee to agree in favour of the governments proposed drastic cuts to the feed-in tariff, reports the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
